Not just a summer home, the Cambridge area is an excellent destination to visit throughout the year. The perfect getaway, Lake Ripley is beautiful in all four seasons.
Simply stated, Cambridge is on par with Wisconsin's other top resort destinations including Door County and Lake Geneva.
Renowned as an artisan community, Cambridge boats incredibly distinctive, upscale shopping. Below are photographs of some of the local boutiques and artisan shops that are located in town.
You may choose to have lunch at one of the town's great restaurants, such as Tru Tavern and Grille. Or, have great a cup of coffee at Cambridge's Daily Grind coffee house.
In fall, the trees explode with color. There is a nationally renowned corn maze just outside of town, featuring a pumpkin patch and activities for kids. The corn maze is set up as a haunted corn maze at twilight. You can also spend an afternoon apple picking or hiking a nearby nature trail.
In winter, there is one of the few places in Southern Wisconsin that rents snowmobiles. Alpine Valley, Devils Head and Cascade ski resorts are all located within a 45 minute drive from Island Lane. Cam-Rock park has miles of pretty trails for cross-country skiing.
In summer, there are unique activities, such as Hinchley's Dairy Farm Tour, drive-in movies, and stock car races. Madison and the Wisconsin Dells make an excellent day trip. |
